This fabulous formula is the
ultimate breath enhancer and healthy mouth promoter—good for
dogs and especially for our finicky cats. If you have serious
problems getting your cat into a healthy dental regimen, this
formula is perfect for you. It combines refreshing Peppermint
oils with the cleansing action of Yucca to neutralize offensive
digestive tract odors that can contribute to bad breath. The
result is an attractive-smelling mouth and an effervescent
smile.
This tasteless, odorless liquid works in your pet's water to
cleanse your pet’s entire mouth without the use of harsh
chemicals or artificial ingredients. How simple is that? Just
slip a capful into your pet's water and keep your nose on the
lookout for fresh-smelling results within one to two weeks.
Gourmet Dental Treats
This is a splendid recipe of harvest grains blended with creamy
peanut butter and the natural sweetness of honey, with hefty
helpings of Calcium and Phosphorus to support healthy bones and
teeth. Parsley sweetens the breath so you get a direct benefit
from this treat as well. With Gourmet Dental Treats, you'll be
treating your dog's healthy teeth well while giving your dog
delicious oven baked treats!
Dental Chews for Dogs
Our Dental Chews are a tasty and healthy alternative to rawhide
that will keep your dog happily chewing his or her way to clean
and healthy teeth and gums. Made with real pork skin, and a
blend of mint and chlorophyll, HealthyPetNet Dental Chews are
easier to digest than rawhide and provide a safer chew texture
that helps to scrape the teeth clean and keep your dog occupied
for hours.

Risking
A Life to Save a Life
A Dr. Jane Memoir
When I was
practicing, I had a 21 year old cat come visit. He was the
thinnest I ever saw a cat. He would not eat and his breath
smelled like old fish. His teeth—at least the ones he still
had—were green like algae at the bottom of an ancient pond.
Turns out that the cat had an infection that "grew legs" and
traveled all over its mouth affecting his poor swollen gums and
the remaining teeth. I put this dear old fellow on antibiotics,
which helped but not enough. I had to put him under anesthesia
to clean his gums, scale his teeth and pull out any loose ones.
I was afraid he would not live through all of this but there was
no other way to make him better. I had to risk his life in order
to save it.
I ended up having to pull every tooth he still had because loose
teeth allow unhealthy bacteria to enter the blood stream. It
took him a while to wake up but when he did the entire hospital
staff was elated, so much so that we all followed him to the car
and waved goodbye. He came back a few months later for a general
senior exam. He looked so good; his coat was less ragged and he
actually gained weight. His owner informed us that he had become
an eating machine; bagels and cream cheese was his current
favorite! Bruce the cat taught me how important healthy teeth
and gums really are.

In the News:
Can Fido Smell Disease?? |
|
Who knew a regular household dog
could be trained to distinguish the difference between a lung or
breast cancer patient and a healthy person using its
preternatural sense of smell?
Recent studies have provided
compelling proof that cancers living beneath the human skin are
detectable by dogs that are trained to examine the odors of a
person's breath. Previous studies show that trained dogs also
have the ability to detect skin caner melanomas by sniffing skin
lesions.
Canine scent detection of cancer has been discussed among
scientists anecdotally for decades. Now it may become a reality.
This study, conducted by the Pine Street Foundation, a cancer
research organization in California, will appear in the March
issue of Integrative Cancer Therapies. |
