Self Serve or Full Serve?: Do-It-Yourself Pet Spas

Many pet spas are starting to give parents the option of self-serve as well as full-serve pet grooming.

We all know that getting our pets cleaned and groomed can be expensive and trying to do it yourself at home can get chaotic and messy. With self-serve pet spas, you have the best of both worlds.

For example, at American Pet Spa in Dallas, Texas, for as low as $12.95, clients are supplied with a clean, easy-to-use bath basin, shampoo, conditioner, brushes, scissors, nail clippers, low-heat hair dryers and even breath spray and cologne! Heck, you can even bring your own shampoo and conditioner, as many of us do when we take our pets to the groomer.

To top it all off, at a self-serve pet spa, you can make your mess and leave it all behind ... water and bubbles everywhere! The staff thoroughly cleans and sanitizes the stations after each client.

Bottled Heaven ... We all know how important it is to groom our pets, but who says that you can't pamper your pet with your own two hands? Thanks to Dr. Jane and the hardworking folks at HPN, you most certainly can! The pampering already comes in bottle form. All you have to do is apply it with love.

Spa Scents Revitalizing Shampoo for Dogs and Cats: Kiwi Mango

More Info or Purchase

HPN's Spa Scents Revitalizing Shampoo contains organic herbs, pure plant botanicals and natural fruit extracts to enhance the skin and coat health of your pet. Working into a thick lather that rinses easily, it washes away dirt and neutralizes bad odors, leaving your pet with a delicious mango scent.

This irresistible shampoo is entirely different than any other shampoo on the market. In most shampoos, odor elimination is due to the act of washing it away, but because of our odor neutralizing system that virtually wraps around the odor like a python and suffocates it, you will find that your pet remains odor free for longer than you thought possible.

The Herbs
The two main ingredients in our Spa Scents Shampoo are organic sage and rosemary. Organic means grown under optimal conditions without insecticide and fertilizer. Organic Sage is a balancing herb, conditioning the skin and keeping it looking healthy. When combined with lemon and grapefruit oil, organic sage volumizes the coat. It has a special attraction to the roots of the hair and scalp, invigorating and stimulating and thus enhancing the coat, making it look thick, shiny and healthy as can be. Organic Rosemary functions in many of the same ways as sage does. It is a great natural conditioner for skin and coat. Most hair products include both rosemary and sage because they work well together.

The Fruitss
Kiwi and mango have been used in hair and skin care for thousands of years because of their antioxidant-rich nature. They, along with coconut, work together in our Spa Scents shampoo for the health of the hair and skin. Because animals are carpeted in fur, we forget the importance of the skin. It is the barrier between the harsh outside world and the world inside the pet. Because Dr. Jane understands this and takes the skin health seriously, our antioxidant-rich shampoo is for hair and skin. Like any place else in the body, the scalp is always challenged with things like dirt, parasites, UV rays and just the every day death and recalibration of skin cells.

Question: Do you feel guilty because you couldn't bathe your pet during the winter? Is your pet's hair a tangled birds nest? Does your pet have dull, lackluster hair? Does your pet have B.O? If you've answered yes to any of these questions, then our Spa Scents Fresh Mist may be just what you're looking for.

Spa Scents Bath Fresh Mist
for Dogs and Cats: Kiwi Mango

More Info or Purchase

The Bath Fresh Mist essentially has the same odor neutralizing ingredients, organic herbs and fruit extracts as the shampoo. The main difference between Bath Fresh Mist and the shampoo is in its usage. The shampoo cleans deeply and gently rids our pets' coats of dirt, grime, odor and excess buildup of oil. Our Spa Scents Bath Fresh Mist can be used as an after-bath refresher, much like a spray-on, leave-in conditioner. Its special neutralizing odor compound traps bad odors and leaves a refreshing mango scent. It has incredible lasting power. This product is perfect for cats, since it's so hard to get them anywhere near water.

The mango kiwi scent will leave your pet smelling fabulous. It's great for long haired dogs and cats and for short haired ones that lack shine and luster. It freshens, revitalizes and conditions the coat, making it glossy, and blessed with less
tangles for easier comb-through.

Tips to Mist — Using Spa Scents Bath Fresh Mist on Your Pet

1. Shake the bottle and spray on your hands or directly on your pet.

2. Work into the fur from the tail end to the neck. Try to get down to the skin. Long haired dogs and cats will need more
spray.

3. Work into the fur systematically — rump, back, left side, right side, chest, under belly. Don't forget the tail!

4. This is not necessary but you can get the most of this conditioner by brushing and combing into the fur. Mats will come out easy as you comb or brush. If necessary, spray some conditioner directly on matted parts.
